I’ve been making jewelry out of anything that holds still long enough since I was 10 years old. (Most of my friends are real active) I will also put Celtic knotwork on anything. For the last couple of years I’ve been doing a lot of beadwork, and I’ve even finished a few fairly complex pieces.

I have also made sculptures out of stuffed animals and junk jewelry and other old odds and ends. The Golden Goat is the first to be finished, and made his debut at the 2009 Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee as my “therapy pet”. I certainly got a lot of therapy out of making him. And everyone who saw him smiled.

I have almost a dozen coloring books of my Celtic line art in print. I’m working on a couple more which I hope to finish this year. They will be A Celtic Alphabet and Astrological Signs, and Celtic Cats and Other Critters #3.

Recently I was challenged to make some steampunk pieces. I’ve had fun taking old watches and clocks apart and playing with the gears.

Some days the beads really bug me
